Top-Notch Dental Restorations in

We always strive to be as conservative with our treatments as possible, which is why we stress prevention and routine dental appointments. But sometimes even visiting our office every six months for exams and cleanings isn’t enough to keep decay and damage at bay. Our restorative dentistry services help get your teeth back in shape and give you a smile that not only looks great but functions great too!

Dental Crowns

The Uptown Dental Studio team uses dental crowns for a variety of reasons. Also known as caps, we use them to cover cracks and chips, especially when they are more than just aesthetic issues and are causing you pain or sensitivity issues. If we have to place a large filling that causes bite issues, we can use a crown to even out your bite and protect the filling. After a root canal, we place a crown over the tooth to protect it from damage or any future infection, as well as to provide strength to the compromised tooth. We also use crowns in conjunction with dental implants to replace missing teeth and restore your smile. Crowns provide many benefits:

  • Natural-looking and blend in with surrounding teeth
  • Strong and durable material lasts for years
  • Protects tooth underneath from damage and decay

Fixed Bridges

Ideal for patients needing to replace one or a few missing teeth in a row, we can place a permanent, or fixed, bridge to complete your smile and give you back the full function of your teeth. A bridge connects to a crown placed on either side of the gap, and false teeth on the wire framework “bridge the gap” left by the missing tooth or teeth. The false teeth blend in seamlessly with your surrounding teeth, so your smile will look natural.

Dentures & Partial Dentures

At Uptown Dental Studio, we can help you get back a full and beautiful smile using dentures. If you’re only missing a few teeth, we can create a partial denture, or a fixed bridge. For patients who are missing most or all teeth of the teeth in an arch, we can create a full denture that looks great and gives you back a normally functioning set of teeth. Creating your dentures will take a few appointments at our Dallas dentist office, but once they’re properly fitted, you’ll see that it was worth it. Today’s dentures are different than dentures of the past and offer many benefits:

  • New materials and processes make dentures more comfortable.
  • Get back to talking, smiling, and eating with ease and confidence.
  • Implant-supported dentures fit securely without the need for messy adhesives.

Inlay Restorations

If you have broken or fractured teeth, decay, fractured fillings, or large fillings, we can provide an inlay restoration to conservatively repair your tooth. This custom filling is made of composite material, gold, or tooth-colored porcelain. Because we remove less of the tooth structure, inlay restorations are much more conservative than dental crowns. The process for getting an inlay requires two appointments:

  • Take mold for dental lab to create inlay
  • Remove decay and/or old filling material
  • Clean and prepare the area to fit the inlay
  • Place a temporary restoration that will last until your inlay is ready
  • At your second appointment, new inlay is placed and cemented

Onlay Restorations

Also called a partial crown, an onlay restoration is made of composite material, gold, or tooth-colored porcelain, just like inlay restorations. They are used for many of the same reasons as inlays, but they provide a larger covering than inlays – onlays include one or more of the chewing cusps.

Root Canal Therapy

Severe pain in a single tooth, a sudden onset of tooth sensitivity that lasts a long time, or sores on your gums could indicate an infection deep within a tooth. If you notice any of these symptoms, schedule an appointment with us. We can take X-rays and determine if you need root canal therapy. During a root canal, which doesn’t hurt nearly as bad as their reputation suggests, we clean the infection out of the tooth’s root canals, fill them with an antibiotic, and seal them to protect against future infection. We then top the tooth with a crown to strengthen the tooth. A root canal helps save your natural tooth, which is always our ultimate goal.

I highly recommend this dentist to anyone seeking quality, friendly, and honest treatment! My first appointment was postponed due to a staff member calling in sick, but it was totally worth the wait. Every staff member I interacted with, from the numerous phone calls leading up to my appointment to the final 'see you next time' I received upon leaving, was above any standard I had experienced prior. Overall, a great experience.

I became unsatisfied with my dentist in Cedar Hill and was looking for a new one. I was recommended her by my nutritionist and I was not disappointed. The hygienist was super friendly and transparent and I was also able to get an appointment for permanent retainers. I am 100 satisfied with the services.
